The Forest of Dean is filled
with beautiful places to visit and historic villages
and towns surrounded by woods with gentle streams,
fast rivers, beautiful shady glades and woodland
paths to aimlessly walk on to your hearts content.
Both the Forest and the Wye
Valley have an extraordinary range of activities
from archery, abseiling, walking and quad biking
to cycling, mountain biking, canoeing and climbing.
And there are many wonderful attractions such
as the National Birds of Prey Centre, the Three
Choirs Vineyard in Newent and the ancient abbey
and iron ore mines at Clearwell.
If you want to shop then nearby
is Regency Cheltenham and the City of Gloucester.
Both are packed with great shops and attractions,
plus sporting events from the worlds of cricket,
rugby and football plus horse racing including
the annual Cheltenham Gold Cup extravaganza. |
